by ѕєα for everyone
I know this isnt Multiply related but you guys are all so smart about this stuff I decided finally to come here to ask. I looked online and found a Blogger template generator called Psycho and several have said its a good one. I am trying to change the template on my Blogger blog but I want to put my own stuff on it. I do not know the first darn thing about codes or anything so I need a generator. But I would like one that will let me put my own background pics in it just like the Custom Theme here in Multiply. Id also like to put my own header on it and maybe even change fonts. The generators I see so far online are only for basic colors and if thats all there is I might as well just stick with what Ive got as boring as it is. So does anyone know of a template generator for Blogger that will let me totally customize it but its basically set up for dummies who dont know a thing about codes and such.?

Thanks,
seanymph

i haven't heard of a blogger template generator... i use html in my skins cuz i don't have an idea about xml templates.. they're more complicated because of the different page elements... you can fix your theme though using html editors like frontpage or dreamweaver... i use frontpage before because i don't know how to use the latter.. i think it's easier to use but has a lot of limitations...

You have to buy dreamweaver tho. Im looking for a free generator. While there are one or two Ive found....none let me use pictures for backgrounds and Id like to be able to do that instead of just plain.

Mono,

This is too complicated for a dummy like me.........this just gives the templates and you can customize the widgets etc. I need a generator that I can just type in my stuff and it creates the template. But thank you anyway. There are tons of templates online for Blogger, but I want to create my own and have no knowledge of this stuff so a generator is needed.

All sites have their limitations.

yeah.. that why i just use frontpage (and microsoft's new version of that, i forgot what it's called) because if you just need the basics you can do it there.. you don't have to know html except that of blogger's html codes for entries and stuff... you can put your own background there...

Well I have a food blog Im pimping all over to network now. I want to start a business in about a yr., after my move. Its on Blogger cuz we cant do business here. But I want to customize my page so that if I do a web page , they will match. Right now most blogger pages are so boring and plain and if they have headers, I dont want them cuz I want to put my own in. I do that now on Blogger. But Id like to change that background and all they give you is plain unless you use someones template premade. I havent seen one I even like. lol.

Isnt Frontpage one you have to buy?

cant you use a saved picture for a background in blogger,,never been there so i have no idea just guessing
or do they not allow stuff like that
wigsout wrote on May 25, '08
i saw the psycho generator you were talking about... it seems you can use an image for background.. i haven't tried it though...

Hmmmmmm Ill have to look again cuz I thought you couldnt. But then I was looking at all that late last nite. My eyes may have missed it.
seanymph3 wrote on May 25, '08
davkal........they use templates like they do here. And theres tons all over the web for it too. But I like being creative. Even on Multiply I never use the premade templates , I just their Custom Colors page and do my own thing :) Why cant every site be as ez as this here? :)
davkal wrote on May 25, '08
then maybe a template could be made an added in instead of using what they supply
lol some sites just dont want to make it easy or where a person can make things to where they like them

i'm trying to look for some online html editors.. see if something can let you edit pages and then later give you the html code to copy and paste unto your blogger account...
wigsout wrote on May 25, '08
i found this....

Free Visual HTML Editor
Free HTML Editor

i' don't really know this program but i suggest you get something like this if you don't wanna buy any of those expensive applications... it lets you edit pages visually (drag and drop.. just like in frontpage and expression web) and then you can get the html code when you're done.. then you can just paste the code in your blogger..

but again, i haven't tried this.. i've seen this just now.... hope this helps..

Hello................did you read what I said? I cant do that........I need templates for dummies. I dont use anything but the Custom colors one here cuz I cant change CSS codes nor do I want to right now. I want a generator that can just let me put in what pictures I want as backgrounds sort of a drag and drop or fill in the blanks and it does it for me.
